Shincro Tech is an Australian software consultancy. It exists because most founders and business owners don't need an agency or a full-time CTO — they need one experienced technical person who takes ownership and stays accountable.
I'm John Croucher. I've spent more than 20 years building, operating and rescuing production software.
That includes newsroom tooling for News Corp that won industry awards, offline ticket scanning running live at festival gates, payroll and warehouse systems for 200+ staff, and legacy platforms modernised without stopping the businesses that ran on them. I've been the person making the technical decisions and the person writing the code — usually both at once.
Shincro is deliberately small. When you work with Shincro you work with me: no rotating consultancy team, no junior developers presented as senior leadership, no handoffs.

I work remotely with clients across Australia, in plain language rather than jargon. I use AI where it genuinely speeds up the work and say so openly — but tools don't carry responsibility. I do. Whatever I build or take over, someone remains accountable for it after launch, and that someone is me.
